Murphy’s Woof Works – Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Murphy’s Woof Works! By booking with us, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. These help us provide a safe, smooth, and stress-free grooming experience for you and your pup.

1. Appointments, Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • Please arrive 5 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to allow smooth transitions between clients and prevent delays.
  • A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
  • Cancellations or reschedules made within 48 hours of your appointment will be charged the full service price.
  • No-shows (failure to attend or be home for mobile appointments) will incur the full cost of the scheduled service.
  • A $20 fee applies for every 30 minutes you are late to collect your dog after their session, unless prior communication has been made.
  • Murphy’s Woof Works reserves the right to cancel or reschedule due to weather, emergencies, or unforeseen circumstances (e.g. vehicle issues, illness, or safety concerns). In such cases, you will not be charged, and a new appointment will be arranged as soon as possible.

2. Health & Behaviour

  • Please inform us of any medical conditions, allergies, or behavioural issues your dog may have before grooming.
  • For safety reasons, Murphy’s Woof Works reserves the right to stop or refuse grooming if a dog displays aggression, severe anxiety, or illness.
  • All dogs must be up to date with vaccinations (C5 or equivalent).

3. Coat Condition

  • Extra charges may apply for heavily matted, tangled, or dirty coats that require additional time or products.
  • In cases of severe matting, your dog’s coat may need to be clipped short for their comfort and safety.

4. Fleas & Parasites

  • If fleas or ticks are found during grooming, a flea rinse will be applied at an additional cost, and the grooming area will be sanitised.

5. Accidents & Safety

  • Every precaution is taken to ensure your dog’s safety and comfort. However, minor nicks, skin irritation, or reactions can occasionally occur.
  • By booking, you acknowledge and accept these minimal risks.
  • In the event of an emergency, we will contact you immediately and seek veterinary care (at the owner’s expense) if required.

6. Mobile Grooming Access

  • For mobile appointments, clients must ensure safe and easy access to power and water, and that their dog is readily available.
  • If these conditions prevent grooming from being completed, a $70 fee will apply to cover travel and allocated service time.
  • If safe parking or access is unavailable, the appointment may need to be cancelled and charged as a no-show.

7. Payment

  • Payment is due on the day of the appointment.
  • Accepted payment methods: cash or bank transfer only.
  • Prices may vary depending on coat condition, size, and behaviour.

8. Photos & Media

  • Murphy’s Woof Works may take photos of pets before or after grooming for marketing or social media.
  • If you’d prefer your dog not to be photographed, please let us know prior to your appointment.

9. Liability

  • Murphy’s Woof Works is not liable for pre-existing conditions or health issues that arise during or after grooming.
  • Owners are responsible for providing accurate information about their dog’s health, temperament, and grooming history.

10. Agreement

By booking with Murphy’s Woof Works, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
